Swyftx review

Swyftx is the home exchange for Australia and New Zealand. Founded in Brisbane in 2019, it has built a reputation for a clean app, responsive local support and one of the widest asset menus in the region, with more than 320 coins. For Australian and Kiwi buyers it is consistently rated near the top.

Funding is built around local rails. Free PayID and bank transfers in Australian dollars settle quickly, with cards and Apple or Google Pay available for instant buys at a premium. The standard trading fee is 0.6%, but a tiered schedule drops it as low as 0.10% for higher-volume traders, and a built-in demo mode lets newcomers practise with virtual funds.

Compliance is handled the local way: Swyftx is registered with AUSTRAC, Australia's financial-intelligence regulator, keeps the bulk of assets in cold storage, and runs third-party penetration testing. Through 2025 it expanded aggressively, acquiring New Zealand's Easy Crypto and the high-net-worth brokerage Caleb & Brown, giving it the widest regional reach of any Australian exchange.

The recent growth came with some turbulence, including staff cuts and a leadership change in early 2026 as the group integrated its acquisitions. For day-to-day buying and selling in Australia or New Zealand, though, Swyftx remains a polished, well-supported and competitively priced choice.
