Binance is crypto's volume king: more spot trading flows through it than its next several competitors combined. For buyers, that translates into the tightest spreads in the market, 350+ listed coins, and a flat 0.1% spot fee (0.075% paying with BNB) that undercuts most regulated rivals several times over.

Fiat rails are broad and regionally clever: SEPA and cards in Europe, Pix in Brazil, dozens of local methods through Binance P2P, the largest peer-to-peer marketplace in crypto, and the de facto on-ramp across much of Africa, Asia, and Latin America. UK users face FCA promotion-regime limitations, and US customers are routed to the separate, thinner Binance US.

The elephant in the room is regulatory history: the 2023 US settlement ($4.3B, founder CZ stepping down) was the largest in crypto. The aftermath has been constructive, a compliance overhaul, court-appointed monitorships, FIU registration in India in 2024, and progress toward EU coverage. SAFU (an emergency insurance fund holding around a billion dollars) plus proof-of-reserves gives meaningful, if not regulated-bank-grade, asset assurance.

Everything beyond buying is here too: the deepest earn/staking menu, futures, launchpads, an NFT market, and a Web3 wallet. The honest caveats: the interface overwhelms newcomers ('Lite' mode helps), support is ticket-based and variable, and availability genuinely differs by country; check your local status before committing.
