1. The short version
Coinporta is a content-and-comparison site. We collect the minimum data needed to run it. We do not sell your personal data. The only things we ever ask for are your email address (for the newsletter) and anonymous usage analytics.
2. Data we collect
- Email address: only if you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us.
- Usage analytics: anonymous page-view, referrer and device data via a privacy-respecting analytics provider. No cross-site tracking.
- Affiliate click data: the exchange you clicked through to, so we can reconcile referrals. We do not see who you are or whether you completed a purchase.
- Server logs: IP address and request data, kept short-term for security and abuse-prevention.
3. Why we collect it
We use the data above to:
- Send you the newsletter you signed up for
- Understand which guides and comparisons readers find useful
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud and security incidents
- Receive affiliate commissions that fund the site
4. Newsletter
We send one short email per week. You can unsubscribe instantly via the link in any email, or by contacting us. We use a reputable email-service provider; your email is stored with them solely to deliver our newsletter.

6. Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers required to operate the site:
- Our hosting and CDN provider
- Our email-service provider (for newsletter delivery)
- Our analytics provider (anonymous usage data only)
- Affiliate networks (anonymous click-through data only)
We never sell, rent or trade your personal data.
7. How long we keep it
- Newsletter email addresses: until you unsubscribe
- Server logs: up to 30 days
- Analytics: anonymous and aggregated, retained 26 months
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority

9. International transfers
Coinporta operates internationally. Some of our service providers may process your data outside your country of residence. Where this happens we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Children
Coinporta is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
