Where to buy Hyperliquid

Hyperliquid launched its token in late 2024 and quickly became one of crypto's breakout stories, climbing into the top tier of assets by market value. It is a purpose-built layer-1 blockchain whose flagship product is a fully on-chain perpetual-futures exchange that competes with centralized venues on speed and depth.

The network runs its own high-performance consensus, settling orders in well under a second with an order book that lives entirely on-chain. That lets traders use advanced derivatives without handing custody to a company, a combination that pulled large volumes away from centralized exchanges through 2025.

HYPE, the native token, pays network fees, can be staked to help secure the chain, and carries governance rights. A notable share of exchange revenue has been used to buy back HYPE, tying the token's demand to real platform usage rather than emissions alone.

As a newer asset built around one platform, HYPE is higher-risk and more volatile than the long-established majors. It is increasingly listed on big exchanges, so fiat buyers can access it, but its short history means far less of a track record than the older top ten.
