Bitcoin jumps to $65,700 after US and Iran reach interim peace deal

Bitcoin rose to $65,700 after the US and Iran reached an interim agreement to end hostilities and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. WTI crude plunged nearly 5% while Nasdaq 100 futures rose 1.5%.

  • Bitcoin rose 2% to $65,700, its highest level since the early June plunge below $60,000.
  • The US and Iran agreed to an interim deal to be signed in Switzerland on Friday, June 19.
  • WTI crude oil plunged nearly 5% to just under $81 per barrel, its softest in two months.
  • Nasdaq 100 futures rose 1.5% and S&P 500 futures gained 0.9% on the news.
