Strategy buys another 1,587 bitcoin for $100 million, now holds 846,842 BTC

Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) bought 1,587 bitcoin at an average of $63,024 each, bringing its total holdings to 846,842 BTC worth about $56 billion.

  • The purchase ran from June 8 to June 14 and was funded from Strategy's USD Reserve, which was also boosted by $100 million to $1.1 billion.
  • Strategy also raised $209 million by selling about 1.73 million MSTR shares through its at-the-market program in the same week.
  • The company remains the largest corporate bitcoin holder at roughly 4% of all bitcoin that will ever exist.
  • Average purchase price across all holdings is $75,656 per bitcoin, for a total cost of about $64 billion.
